For five years I did the marketing for plastic tubing manufacturer, Freelin-Wade. In this marketing department of one, I did all the strategy, design, photography, writing, website development, promotion, etc.
When I started, the company website ranked #65 on a Google search for plastic tubing. When I left, the site I developed was #2 and #3 on Google. The site's objective is to get quote requests. The old site averaged fewer than 6 per month but the new site was averaging 160. I developed the logo, did all of the branding, photography and writing.
During my tenure, Freelin-Wade enjoyed double digit growth, opening markets in Europe and Asia. This despite losing our biggest client (Grainger) to China and facing the impact of the recession. |
