One of my responsibilities at Freelin-Wade was to manage the employee fundraising group. Over the four years of his leadership, the group raised more than $40,000 through a wide variety of events including rock paper scissor tournaments, Hot Wheels® races and monthly lunches (including a hamburger feed). On a per employee basis, no group in Oregon raised as much money for charity, over that time frame.

 

Charities that benefitted included the American Cancer Society, Give A Little Foundation, Juliette's House, St. Barnabas Soup Kitchen, McMinnville Senior Center, and YCAP Food Bank.
